I am a visual artist who creates through multimedia. Most of my work consists of spray, watercolor and other forms of paint. Many works also include ink and collage such as use of fabric, wood cut outs and newspaper. I find beauty in how a certain medium can enhance a particular element and dimension in a piece.
My paintings embody emotions and their perfections. I find beauty in vulnerability. It births growth. I seek to pull the viewer in and tell my story, however, leave it open for the viewer to experience their story as well. My passion is art, but truly it’s life. Life experiences, people that root me, continue to strengthen those roots, and even those that I briefly cross paths with are what drives that passion and releases the story.
I graduated pre-med, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and sought after the medical field. After graduating from Marymount Manhattan College. I worked on a Stroke Unit for two years to apply for a Physician’s Assistant masters program. Those two years were eye opening and formative to who I am today and how I view life. From phlebotomy, to taking vital signs, performing CPR and taking care of those passing on, as well as their families, my art allowed me to express.
I moved to Austin, TX in 2016 with the medical field in site and creating as well, however the pull from the creative culture in Austin reeled me in and is now what I do full time. When I’m not creating I am thinking about what is next.
